She was predeceased by: her parents, Hermann Krauss and Magdalena Krauss; her sister Marianne Franks; and her sibling's children, Natascha Franks and Dieter.
She is survived by: her husband James R. McRight; her children, Jurgen McRight (Wendy) of Barbourville, KY, Nicole McRight (Donna) of Cullowhee, NC and Steven McRight (Yolanda) of Lorton, VA; her siblings, Gerhard Krauss of Frankfurt Germany, Christa Heuston (Fred) of Omaha, NE, Heidi Rupert of Ebersdorf and Magda Mertz (Roland) of Weiden, Germany; her grandchildren, Cady Lewis, Hunter McRight, Taylor McRight, Courtney McRight, Christopher Harris and Kevin Harris; and her siblings' children, Demy, Claudia, Gary, Petra, Gertie and Andreas. She is also survived by great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
