He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank B. Herty Sr. and Elizabeth M. Herty; his former wife Diane F. Herty; his daughter Amanda Taylor (Lindsey) of Christiansburg, VA.; and his grandchildren, Mary Louise Pasicatan (Marvel) of Katy, TX. and James Moore (Christina) of Cameron, N. C..
He is survived by: his wife Janet P. Herty of Columbia, S. C.; his children, Frank B. Herty, III (Rita), Mary Hartshorn (David) of Katy, TX., Elizabeth Chapman (Ellis) of Berryville, VA. and Diane Hall (William) of Hanahan, S. C.; and his stepdaughters, Stephanie Catoe of Columbia, S. C. and Amanda Blackwell (Jamey) of Chapin, S. C.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (501 Elmwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29201).
