He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lee and Laura Caroline Prewitt (LeGrand); his son Kenneth Lawrence Prewitt; and his siblings, Ruth Goff, Rebecca Kittrell, Louise Hatchell, Helen Stienmetz, Sandra Berry, Margaret Rogers, Albert "Buddy" Prewitt, Lewis Prewitt and Charles "Leland" Prewitt.
He is survived by: his son Michael Gregory "Greg" (Melanie); and his granddaughter Turner Layton Prewitt.
