Gail West Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail West of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gail may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gail touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Douglas Kirby and Pearl Atkinson Kirby; and her sister Jeanette Kirby Jefferson. She is survived by: her son Henry Ivey West III (April); and her siblings, Robert Clinton Kirby (Gayle) and Ann Kirby Lee (Mark). She is also survived by 4 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces.
