George Carl Dudley Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 7, 2022, at the age of 79, George Carl Dudley (Columbia, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Alberta Brown Dudley; his wife Delores Robinson Dudley; and his siblings, Doris Dudley of Washington and W. H. Dudley. He is survived by: his caregiver Kristina Dudley McCane (George); his grandchildren, Tyrese Neale, Kyra McCane and Joseph McCane; his sisters, Mary Spells (Leroy) and Betty Brown Williamson; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Jones, Bernice Robinson and Katie Robinson; his godchildren, Wendell Boyd, Jr., Daniel Williams, Martin Williams, II, Lora Coleman (Michael) and Shauna Bangura (Sheik); and his close friends, Harold Murray, Johnny Lowe (Ruth) and Wendell Boyd, Sr. (Areva). He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Dudley remained active and committed to the church and university as long as his health and the COVID-19 Pandemic allowed.
