It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys James of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Henry and Gladys Cooper Leonhardt; her husband Grover Lentz James; and her brothers, John, William and Edward Leonhardt.

She is survived by: her children, Linda James Kerr (Richard) and Kenneth James (Mary); her grandchildren, Megan Martin (Melissa), Ryan Frierson and Wendy Frierson; and her great grandchildren, Samantha and Bryson.
