She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Cochran and Ruth Cochran; her husband Buddy Arant; and her siblings, Ed Cochran, Robert Cochran, Paden Cochran, Gwen Norris and Carolyn Wonders.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol Matthews (John) of Greensboro; and her grandchildren, Michael Matthews (Ashley) of Knoxville, Katharine Matthews of Charleston and Melanie Jennings (Blake) of Greensboro. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren.
