We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2024, at the age of 96, Irene Lowe Boyd of Columbia, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Schenck and Sarah Irene Lowe (Black); and her husband Ernest Lamar Boyd, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Oakes (Barney) and Ernest Lamar Boyd, Jr. (Elise); her grandchildren, John Oakes (Nicole), McKenna Lakin (Jeff), Malcolm Boyd (Katie) and Kerrie Hollifield (Zachary); and her great grandchildren, Cooper, Zoey Hollifield, Matthias, Rowan Boyd and Elliott Lakin.
