It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Simpson of Columbia, South Carolina, born in Englewood, New Jersey, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his siblings, Anna and William. He is survived by: his daughters, Estelle Gatta (Frank) and Vicki Samolowicz (Joe); his brother Robert; his grandchildren, Frances Lazarow (Jonathan), James Samolowicz (Kylie), Katherine Gatta (Tre Commings) and Vinny Gatta; and his great grandchild Zoey Samolowicz.
