He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh L. McColl and Frances Carroll McColl; and his sister Frances McColl Covington. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Parker McColl (Betsy) of Columbia; his daughter Elizabeth McColl Liles (Jonathan Liles); his granddaughters, Frances Carroll Liles and Lucy Minor Davis Liles of Charlotte; his brothers, Hugh L. McColl, Jr. (Jane Spratt McColl) of Charlotte and David Kenneth McColl (Carolyn Walker McColl) of Greenville, SC; and his sister-in-law Fleming Parker Rutledge (Reginald E. Rutledge) of Rye Brook, NY. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (1100 Sumter St, Columbia, SC 29201).
