He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Powell (Phil), Cris Howard (David) and Suzie Wilson (Chris); his stepsons, Jack Busic (Nancy) and Stephen Busic (Shannon); his sister Melodie Yancey (Tommy); his grandchildren, Justin Smith, Jess Powell, Lauren Knox (Zak), Zack Howard, Andy Ferez (Bailey), Nicholas Ferez, Sofia Ferez, Christopher Wilson, Eleanor Wilson, Waites Wilson, Jackson Busic, Caroline Busic, Lauren Busic, Ben Busic and Jay Busic; his great grandchildren, Lilly Smith, Mason Smith, Levi Knox and Lottie Knox; and his close friend Connie Morrison.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Hickory (311 3rd Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
