He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Irvine Smith; his brother Robert Joel Smith (Cynthia Mishoe) of Surfside Beach, SC; his sister-in-law Sarah Irvine Cheek (Hal) of Gray Court, SC; his nieces, Eleanor Smith of Dunwoody, GA and Ann-Mishoe Smith of Mount Pleasant, SC; and his nephew John Smith of Columbia.
