He was predeceased by : his brother Terry Mitchell; and his father-in-law Tommy Gwin. He is survived by : his parents, James W. Mitchell, Sr. and Frances Bohannon Mitchell; his wife Diane Gwin Mitchell; his children, Jamie Mitchell of Great Falls and Angela Mitchell Smith of Great Falls; his grandchildren, Creighton Smith of Great Falls, Emery Smith of Great Falls, Hannah Mitchell of Great Falls and Harley Mitchell of Great Falls; and his mother-in-law Margie Jacobs Gwin of Great Falls.
