He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bernard Strange, Sr. and Maxine Elizabeth Vandever Strange; his significant other Walter P. O'Rourke, Jr.; and his siblings, Carlene Sue Strange Tucker, Larry E. Strange and Carl Edward Strange. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (3926 Devine St, Columbia, SC 29205). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
