He is survived by: his wife Carol Strickland (Lynn); his stepdaughter Christine Avery (Bill); his grandchildren, Kathryn Freeman (Katy), Madelyn Chavis (Jeff), Kristine Avery, Amanda Avery and William Avery; and his great grandchildren, Stella Avery, Morgan Chavis and River Chavis.
