He is survived by: his children, John William (Bill) of Columbia, James (Jim) of Columbia, Ralph (Jan) of Columbia and Marian Gray Scullion (John) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Ashton Lunceford Hanson (Johnny), Myrk Orvsson, Elizabeth Keels (Jared), John William (Will), Nolan Alan and Sarah Gray Keels; Asher Dale and Rylee Ruth Hanson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (4600 Daniel Dr, Columbia, SC 29206). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In 2006, Jack was named a member of South Carolina's Order of the Palmetto in recognition of Wilbur Smith Associates' positive contributions to promoting South Carolina worldwide through its international transportation planning, design, and construction management services.
