He is survived by: his children, John (Trena), Gwendolyn Sawyer (Mark), Mary Ellen and Gary (Belinda); his grandchildren, John IV (Christina), Patrick, Paul, Stephen and Laura; and his great grandchildren, Mia and Marley.
