John Callison Rawl Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Callison Rawl (Columbia, South Carolina), who passed away on August 24, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Henry Rawl, Jr. and Helen Callison Rawl of Lexington, SC.; and his daughter Susannah Rawl Cole Simpson (George). He is survived by: his wife Lynn Tate Rawl; his daughter Amy Rawl Epps (Elliott); his grandsons, Henry James Cole, John Elliott Epps, Thomas Rawl Epps and Sullivan Lawrence Epps; his siblings, Susan Rawl Daniel (Horace), Thomas Henry Rawl III (Patricia) and Richard Preston Rawl (Janice); his nieces and nephews, Lisa Daniel Payne, Allison Daniel Woods, Rebecca Elaine Rawl, Martha Grace Rawl, William Thomas Rawl and David Christopher Rawl; and his son-in-law Andrew Norman Cole (Scottish Terrier Wellington).
The family wishes to thank Dr. Brad Word for his excellent care and guidance through Dr. Rawl's battle with Parkinson's disease and would also like to thank his caregivers Bertha Abney and Rebecca McKnight.
