John Elbert Hollis Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Younginer and Nannie Watts Hollis; and his brother Glenn Youinginer Hollis, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kay Gunter Hollis; his children, Susan Michele "Misty" Hollis-Dickson (WIlliam Micael Dickson, Jr), John Scott Hollis and Rachelle Gunter Bartlett-Davis (Joseph Glenn Davis); and his grandchildren, Samuel William Dickson, Jacob Evans Bartlett (Jeb), James Hollis Dickson, Gracie Gunter Bartlett (Gigi) and Muireall Elanor Dickson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
