With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Robert Gillespie (Columbia, South Carolina), who passed away on June 29, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Claunch Gillespie and Maurine Sanders Gillespie; and his brother Michael Gillespie. He is survived by: his wife Pamela M. Gillespie of Columbia, SC; his children, Michelle Rebecca Flores (Steven) of Columbia, SC and Robert Sanders Gillespie (Kimberly) of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Addyson, Bennett, Finn, Jack and Bo; his siblings, Joel Gillespie of Columbia, SC and Mary Johnson (Sandy) of Columbia, SC; and his sister-in-law Candace Gillespie of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
