It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Monnier of Columbia, South Carolina, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Bonnye Gayle Steimer Monnier; and his brothers, Daniel Monnier of Grapevine, TX, Paul Monnier of Warsaw, IL and Mark Monnier of Mammoth Cave, KY..
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Monnier (Pam); his children, Dr. Susanne Cabrera (Jose) of Wauwatosa, WI, Philip Monnier (Monica) of Oak Park, IL and Stephen Monnier (Calli) of Verona, WI; his grandchildren, Lucas Cabrera, Simon Cabrera, Margot Cabrera, Fern Monnier, Juniper Monnier and Sylvie Monnier; and his siblings, Stephen Monnier of Tucson, AZ, David Monnier of Savannah, TN, Mary Reed of Quincy, IL, LouAnn Metternich of Nauvoo, IL and Nancy Halpin of Bethlehem, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
