He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Spigner Hunter and Landrus E. Hunter, Sr.; and his brother Benjamin Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean S. Hunter; his brother Landrus E. Hunter Jr. (Eloise); and his children, Joseph Jr., Timothy, Stephanie and Terri. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and close friends.
