It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katharine Edwards Haselden of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Wellington and Katharine Bush Edwards; her son Edward Wheeler Haselden, III; and her sister-in-law Min Murray Haselden Cheves. She is survived by: her husband Edward Wheeler Haselden, Jr.; her children, William Mace Haselden (Lane) of Columbia, Thomas Foster Haselden (Loucinda) of Columbia and Audrey Haselden Walter of Danville, KY.; her grandchildren, Sarah Haselden, John, Reynolds Haselden of Columbia, Lila, Annie Capers and Townsend Walter of Danville, KY.; her sister-in-law Anne Haselden Foster of Shelburne, VT; and her nieces, Isabel Berbert and Vesta Ferris (Murray Thompson).
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the The-Fields Episcopal Church (5220 Clemson Ave, Columbia, SC 29206).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin's-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, 5220 Clemson Ave, Columbia, SC 29206; to Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens, 500 Wildlife Pkwy, Columbia, SC 29210; or to a charity of one's choice.
