She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred McDonald and Catherine McDonald; her son Geary Lee Powell; her granddaughter Amy; and her husbands, John D. Powell, Jr. and Charles D. Holton (F. Lynn Tate).
She is survived by: her son John D. Powell Ill (Beverly); her daughter-in-law Novelene Powell; and her grandchildren, Ashley Copeland (Jim), Leigh Anne Gaffney (Adam), Michael Powell and Michael Ellinger. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
