We announce the death of Mary Willis Hellams of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 79. Mary Willis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Willis (Bill) and Elizabeth Willis (Lib); and her sister Elizabeth Willis Maxwell (Betty). She is survived by: her sister Betty; her granddaughter Gracie Boyce; her daughter Beth Hellams Forest of Asheville, NC; her nephews, Ray Maxwell (Debe) of Charlotte, NC and Bill Maxwell (Rebecca) of Carolina Beach, NC; her niece Elizabeth Maxwell Cooper (David) of Carolina Beach, NC; and her daughter Amy Flowers of Columbia, SC.
