With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurice Erve McCaffrey (Columbia, South Carolina), who passed away on November 15, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Maurice H. McCaffrey and Margaret Moran McCaffrey; and his wife Katharine "Kay" Bullard McCaffrey. He is survived by: his sons, Todd McCaffrey (Lisa) of Columbia, SC, Brian McCaffrey (Sandy) of St. Augustine, FL and Daniel McCaffrey (Nancy) of Chattanooga, TN.; his grandchildren, Michael (Haley), Sara, Andrew, Jessica, Ryan, Kevin and Madison; and his great grandchild Margo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mac's memory be made to Camp Cole, a camp and retreat center serving children, teens, and adults who are navigating serious illnesses, disabilities, and complex life challenges located in Eastover, South Carolina.
