It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Edward Hoover of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Michael Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Oscar Hoover and Louise Atkinson Hoover. He is survived by: his wife Karen Julia Stork Hoover; his son Brandon Michael Hoover; and his grandson Christopher "Bodie" Hoover.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (3926 Devine St, Columbia, SC 29205). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
