He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schwichtenberg and Elizabeth "Betty" Schwichtenberg (Née Slupikowski). He is survived by: his wife Janet Schwichtenberg; his daughter Katie Schwichtenberg (Jacob) of Columbia, SC; and his siblings, Dave Schwichtenberg (Fran) and Judy Litrenta (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
