He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patsy" Ann Kirkland Schumpert; his daughters, Karen Schumpert Foster (Carl) of Columbia, Miriam "Meme" Schumpert Shealy (David) of Chapin, Julia Schumpert Traw (Perry) of Summerville and Sandra "Sandi" Schumpert Di Toma (Paul) of Canal Winchester, OH; his grandchildren, Weston Wyse Clowney (Miranda), Jonathan Broney (Aimee), Jay Schumpert, Cate Yackey (Bud), Mackenzie Washington (Eon), Beverly Foster, Stephanie May (Zachary), Victoria Mathis (Thomas), Timothy Traw (Natasha), Caytie Crespo (Jose), Tricia Busbee (Andrew), Ella Di Toma and Zachary Di Toma; and his great grandchildren, Kathryn, Michelle, Jasmine, Weston, Thomas, Sydney, Jack, William, Maddox, Parker, Theo, Ben, Nolan, Toni and Rhett.
