He is survived by: his father Edwin Yates Paxton; his wife Verlene Ballard Paxton; his sons, Greg Paxton (Lynn), Kevin Paxton and Tim Paxton; his granddaughters, Faith Ann Paxton, Amelia Grace Paxton and Sophia Marie Paxton; his brother Edwin "Eddie" Yates Paxton, Jr.; and his pets, Grizzly and Ace.
