He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Gross and Sally Gross. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smith Gross; his sons, Ryan Robert Gross (Shannon Gross) and Kyle Gross (Sarah Gross); and his granddaughters, Sutton and Cameron Gross.
