He was predeceased by: his parents, Fennial Dennis Dean and Annie Bell Kyall; his son Christopher Lee Wilson; and his sisters, Barbara V. Wilson and Shirley W. Dean.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Carol Douglas; his daughter Christine "Tina" Marie Leaphart (Shane); his grandchildren, Garret A. Leaphart (Tallon), Mckenzie B. Corder (Cory), Spencer A. Leaphart, Brady M. Leaphart and Eryn K. Leaphart; his great grandchildren, Rowynn Grace Corder and Noah Kate Corder; and his brother William T. Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
