With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel (Jennings) Adwell of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, James Lee Lanham Jr. and Herschel Carter Adwell; her daughter Barbara Ann Silvey (Bill); and her stepson Herschel Adwell. She is survived by: her children, James Lee Lanham III (Melody) and Janie Evelyn Shelton (Wendell); and her stepchildren, Mike Adwell, Dick Adwell, Margie Brown, Debbie Thacher and Bruce Adwell. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren (1 deceased), 42 great grandchildren (1 deceased), and 10 great-great grandchildren.
