Richard Maxwell Sasnett III Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Maxwell Sasnett III (Columbia, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Maxwell Sasnett Jr. and Mary Childs Seabrook Sasnett; his wife Carol Beane Sasnett; and his grandsons, Cotesworth Daniel Arrieta and Alexander Seabrook Arrieta.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Maxwell Sasnett IV (Peyton), Cotesworth Pinckney Sasnett (Sylvia) and Caroline Seabrook Sasnett Arrieta; his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Stamps (Will), Joyce Peyton Sasnett Fairey (James), Richard Maxwell Sasnett V, Brandon Maxwell Arrieta (Sandra), Leah Caroline Arrieta, Marilyn Vanessa Belteton, Sherlyn Estrella Belteton and Caroline Alexandra Belteton Sasnett; his great grandchildren, Irelia Stamps, Jaxon Stamps and Cecelia Seabrook Arrieta; his sister Molly Hughes (Roland); his nieces, Carolyn Culbertson (Rex), Virginia Borkey (Ed) and Holly Lewis; his nephew Grant Hughes (Brenda); his brother-in-law John Robert Beane Jr. (Marilyn); and his nieces and nephews, Brandi Nardi (Alexander) and Ashley Terrell (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
