We are sad to announce that, on September 12, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Simmons Tate Jr. (Columbia, South Carolina), born in Taylors, South Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Simmons may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Simmons touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Harold Simmons Tate, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Anne Coker of Darlington, SC; his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Tate, Virginia Clayton Tate (Terri) and Martha Coker Tate Dougherty (Park); and his granddaughter Elizabeth Dougherty Weiland.
Memorials may be given in the name of H. Simmons Tate, Jr. to Missions Fund at St. Michaels Church, 71 Broad Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
