He was predeceased by: his mother Stephanie "Stevie" Derrick Scoggins; and his sister Tabitha Scoggins Costenbader. He is survived by: his father John Thomas Scoggins of Batesburg; his son Bryson Thomas Scoggins; his former wife Chelsea Burnett Slaughter; his stepdaughter Nevaeh Ann Mazzell of Lexington; and his siblings, Tiffanie Scoggins Elsey of Irmo and Cole Brent Scoggins of Greenville. He is also survived by his family and close friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Irmo (7068 Nursery Rd, Columbia, SC 29212).
