It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Williamson Thornton Jr. (Columbia, South Carolina), born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Williamson Thornton, Sr. and Frances Yarbrough Thornton; and his wife Virginia Beth "Penny" Thornton. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Thornton, III and Emily Thornton; and his granddaughter Olivia Thornton.
