It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Timothy C. Chavis in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Jack Chavis and Sarah Smith Chavis; his son Timothy Chavis Jr.; and his siblings, Nellie Faye Leviner (Elgin), Carlene Bonds, George Willie Chavis, Eliashia Chavis and Edgar Wayne Chavis.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Chavis; his children, Howard Edward Lee, Stacey Howard and Misty Chavis; and his siblings, Larry Walker Chavis, Carolyn Joan Bowen and Norma Chavis. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
