He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hazel Holloway and William Heaton Byrd Sr.; his wife Sue Byrd; his children, William Heaton Byrd Ill and Tiffany Heaton Byrd Egleston; his granddaughter Heaton Monroe Easterling; his son-in-law Patrick Egleston; his stepdaughter Kelly Bramble; his sisters, Jewell Byrd Patterson and Sherry Ragin; Ryan Temple Byrd and George Bramble. He was also cherished by his family, he was simply Dad and Papa.
In lieu of flowers, the Byrd family would like all memorial donations be made to The Citadel Alumni Fund.
