He was predeceased by : his parents, Reverend Emory Franklin Young and Mattie Lee Goodwin Young; his wives, Cynthia "Sandi" Diane West Young, Theresa "Teri" and Lynne Parnell Young; and his brother Jerry Young.

He is survived by : his children, Jonathan Young (Crystal) of Williamston, SC, L. Kyle Fullwood of Myrtle Beach, SC, William Theodore Hayden, IV (Jessica) of Conway, SC, Lacey Sweeney (Orlando) and Lydia Hampton (Dave) of Aynor, SC; his sister Nancy Young Reeder of Murrells Inlet, SC; his grandchildren, Alyssa Hampton, Reagan Hampton, Caleb Hayden, Carter Hayden, Kinsley Hayden, Meadow Fullwood and Sydney Fullwood; and his pet Buddi Lynne Young.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the First Baptist Church of Conway (603 Elm St, Conway, SC 29526). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (603 Elm St, Conway, SC 29526).

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Bruce's name to The Little Travelers Chapel, Inc., 167 Windmeadows Drive, Conway, SC 29526 or to the American Heart Association, http://www.heart.org.
