He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston and Ruth; his brothers, Grover and Tim Chestnut; and his granddaughter CaMari Chestnut.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jevante Okunola (Kito) of Palmyra, NJ, Shavona Chestnut of Conway, SC and Catilla Wynn (Damond) of Conway, SC.; his grandchildren, Shania, Desta, Zindzi, Brendan, Kito II and Mozel; his siblings, Annette Felton of Hertford, NC, Theora M. Chestnut (Raeford), Margo D. Chestnut, Anthony Chestnut (Delores) of Patterson, NJ, Joe C. Chestnut (Larissa) of Conway, SC and Ellis B. Chestnut (Patricia) of Little River, SC; his siblings' children, Rupert Chestnut of Longs, SC, Lytisha, Toledashea (Theontre), Antoinette and Wescott; and his close friends, Willis Robinson, Randy Woods and Tony Gore.
