Donald P. Sweeney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald P. Sweeney in Conway, South Carolina, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on August 5, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sweeney and Katherine Sweeney (Foley). He is survived by: his siblings, John, Francis, Bernard, Thomas Sweeney and Edna Sweeney; his wife Geraldine; his children, Edward Sweeney, Donald Sweeney (Joann), Gretta Gallagher (James), Geraldine LaBonge (Oliver) of Surfside Beach and Paul Sweeney (Suzette) of Surfside Beach; his grandchildren, AnnMarie, Amanda, Ashley, Alish Gallagher, Kevin, Kelly, Patrick, Mary Catherine Sweeney, Tyler, Blake and Morgan Startt; and his sisters, Margaret Sweeney and Marie Fitzgerald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Due to the Covid 19 precautions, services for Donald will be private with inurnment to follow at St. Michaels' Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to the Low Country Food Bank, 4716 Northgate Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or http://www.lowcountryfoodbank.org.
