We announce the death of Doris B Brown (Conway, South Carolina), who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 96. Doris will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rollin Baxley and Ellen Singleton Baxley; her husband Edison Brown; her daughter Rosa Brown Hardee; and her siblings, Lucille Brown, Carrie Belle Roberts, Eugene Baxley and Vardell Baxley.
She is survived by: her children, Cecil Brown (Monica), Janice and Betty Shelley (Jackie); her son-in-law Charles Hardee; her siblings, Doug Baxley (Jean) and Margie Martin (Aaron); and her grandchildren, Tommy Brown (Annette), Amy Brown Hughes (Russell), Krystal Singleton, Ryan Brown (Alisha), Ashley Hardee (Jesalyn), Jonathan Alford, Melissa Bergeron, Dr. Rusty Brown (Brooke) and Trevor Hardee. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church (2453 Brunson Spring Rd, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
