He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Silvernail and Ruth Dewey Silvernail; and his siblings, Clifford Silvernail, Howard Silvernail, Wesley Silvernail, Lester Peake, Frances Sherburne, Marion McPherson, Ruth Bell, Nita Bryant and Donna Silvernail.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Silvernail; his sons, Jeffrey Silvernail (Elizabeth) and Craig Silvernail (Nannette); his grandchildren, Timothy Silvernail, Catherine Silvernail, Daniel Silvernail, Bryn Ryan (Brendan) and Lauren Silvernail; his great grandchildren, Brendan "Bear" Ryan and Phillip Ryan; and his siblings, Neal Silvernail (Elaine), Everett "Mike" Silvernail (Karen), Larry Silvernail (Julie), Joeann Burkert and Sharon Ellison (Skip). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
