He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester R. Olive of Palmyra, VA and Eunice M. Ebhardt Olive; his wife Kimberly D. Burger; his children, Patrick Hughes (Peggy) of Luray, VA, Austin, Peyton, Owen, Liam, Kathleen, Anne, Raygan and Michelle Farrar (Matt) of Stephens City, VA; his grandchildren, Russell, Ellie and Sawyer; his children, Nicholas Olive (Amanda) of Stephenson, VA, Hadley, Braden, Hannah and Katie Landis (Josh) of Berkeley Springs, WV; his grandchildren, Ava of Conway, SC, Waylon of Conway, SC and Luke of Conway, SC; his sons, Trevor of Conway, SC and Hunter Olive of Conway, SC; his siblings, Chet Olive (Lynne) of Palmyra, VA and Donna Raye Vance (Chris) of Cockeysville, MD; his close friend Doug Armstrong; and his children, Catherin and Josh Selecman.
