It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gudrun J Davis of Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gudrun may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Jankowski and Elisabeth Mueller Jankowski; her husband Robert Charles Davis; her sister Ingaborg Jankowski; and her grandsons, Mathew Hucks and Tristan Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Johnson (Steve), Hans Schwander (Bettina) and Eric Schwander; and her grandson Justin Davis. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
