It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gerond Quiel in Conway, South Carolina, born in Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerond Quiel (Jerry) and Marlyne Quiel (Kniebel); his wife Sandra Quiel (Goupil); his sister Debbie Quiel; his mother-in-law Shirley Humphrey; and his nephew Chris McAllaster.
He is survived by : his pet Tucker; his daughter Kelly Lynn Quiel (Zachary Moore); his sister-in-law Janet Schultz (Greg); his sisters, Wendie McAllaster and Tammie Gillespie (Patrick); his aunts, Sue Bergman and Jan Rapacke; his cousins, Sherry Brandt (Ron), Lisa Beckerdite (Lew), Todd Clasen and Maili Bergman; his nieces and nephews, Steven Schultz (Juli), Scott Schultz, Sara McAllaster, Allison and Thomas Gillespie; his great-nephew Harrison; his niece Madeline Schultz; his goddaughter Jillian Bautista; and his close friends, Cindy, Sam Nunn, Matthew Nunn (Lindsey), Megan, Eric Krummen (Ella), Don, Lisa Knapp (Amber), Chris and Leslie Bautista.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to the American Cancer Society, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or the ASPCA.
