He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Smith Sr. and Joeanna Grant Smith; and his children, Barry Smith, Jerry Smith Jr. and Arietta Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Tyrone Smith (Deborah) of Conway, Carolyn Smith of Conway, Wanda Carter of Conway, Larissa Phillips (Sofonias) of Columbia, SC. and Aves Smith (Lisa) of Columbia, SC.; and his sisters, Frances Mishoe of Conway, Shirley Smith of Conway, Lena Mae Gore of Cool Spring, Pauline Stone of New York and Terre Jones of Texas. He is also survived by his 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
