He was predeceased by: his parents, Radd Dew and Betty Jane Hamilton Dew; and his niece Megan Ammons. He is survived by: his wife Dee Dee Dew; his daughters, Lindsay Lucille Dew Tompkins (Stephen) and Kayla Dew Fleming (Lonnie); his granddaughter Ellie Jane King; his sisters, Carolyn Dew Ammons (Tony) and Hazel Dew; his nephew Charles Ammons (Kendra); and his great-niece Paige.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel (606 Beaty St, Conway, SC 29526). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Jamestown Baptist Church (2916 4th Ave, Conway, SC 29527).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1314 3rd Avenue, Conway, SC 29526 in honor of Jim's compassionate heart and lifelong commitment to helping others or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 because of his deep love for children.
