We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, at the age of 88, John Reese Tyler Sr. of Conway, South Carolina, born in Hemingway, South Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Reese Tyler Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Oscar Tyler and Annie Cornelia Bruorton Tyler; his wife Bobbie Ann Johnson Tyler; his former life partner Betty Jo Parker Tyler; and his siblings, Royce B. Tyler (Violet), Oscar M. Tyler (Jean), Gloria D. Tyler Herndon (Gordon) and Virginia D. Tyler Matthews (Alton).

He is survived by : his children, John R. Tyler Jr. (Rick) and Patricia Arlan Tyler Ferrell (William); his grandchildren, Casey M. Tyler Catalano (Bryan) and John Reese Tyler III; and his great grandchildren, Sydney Catalano and John Reese Tyler IV (Rex).

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lakeside Cemetery (401 Lakewood Ave, Conway, SC 29526).

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that memorial donations in John's honor be made to The Hut Bible Class.
